Andres Iniesta kan terugkijken op een glansrijke loopbaan bij FC Barcelona en het Spaanse nationale elftal. Momenteel speelt hij voor het Japanse Vissel Kobe en daar gaat het minder. De club dreigt zelfs dit seizoen te degraderen uit de hoogste divisie.<\/h4>\n

Hij kwam in 2018 bij Vissel Kobe na meer dan 600 wedstrijden te hebben gespeeld voor Bar\u00e7a, \u200b\u200bwaar hij vier keer de Champions League en negen keer LaLiga won. Maar hij heeft moeite om te schitteren in Kobe, afgezien van de Emperor’s Cup in 2019 en de Japanse Super Cup in 2020, de enige twee trofee\u00ebn die hij tot aan zijn rijke collectie wist toe te voegen.<\/p>\n

De voormalig nummer 8 van Barcelona speelde altijd voor de prijzen, maar met Vissel Kobe dreigt het nu mis te lopen. De Japanse club kende een rampzalige start van het J-League-seizoen en staat momenteel op de voorlaatste plaats in het klassement (17e, vier punten) na tien wedstrijden (vier gelijke spelen, zes verliespartijen). Vissel Kobe greep al in door een degradatiespecialist aan te trekken. Miguel Angel Lotina redde al vijf verschillende clubs in Spanje.<\/p>\n

Vissel Kobe is de rijkste club van Japan, eigendom van miljardair Hiroshi Mikitani, de CEO en oprichter van de Japanse e-commercegigant Rakuten. Naast Iniesta spelen ook klinkende namen als Bojan Krkic (ex-Ajax) en Sergi Samper. Thomas Vermaelen lijkt net op tijd vertrokken te zijn bij de Japanse ’topper’.
